The HSBC Technology India Hackathon 2025 invites college students in their 7th semester to dive into thrilling engineering challenges and showcase their skills in a high-energy, innovative environment. Our mission is to foster innovation and collaboration across various fields, ensuring a dynamic and engaging environment for learning, skill development, and problem-solving within the student community.

By empowering hackathon participants with the right competitive environment, we aim to catalyze solutions for today’s pressing engineering and technological challenges. This hackathon allows students to engage in real-world scenarios, showcasing their skills in AI, Machine Learning, Data Science, Cryptography, and Java/Web/API engineering. We strive to inspire the next generation of engineers and innovators, preparing them for future success in the technology landscape.

Program Partners

HSBC is conducting the Hackathon across two locations.

For Pune, in collaboration with the IIT Bombay Trust Lab, and in Hyderabad, partnership with T-Hub.

Eligibility Criteria

Open to College Students: Students in the 7th semester, i.e., those graduating in 2026 with a B.E. or B.Tech in Computer Science or Information Technology.
Academic Eligibility Criteria: A minimum 70% or a 7 CGPA throughout their academic career (10th, 12th or Diploma, and B.E./B.Tech), with no current backlogs during the hiring or onboarding process.
Individuals or Teams: Participants are requested to register individually for this hackathon.
Interest : Participants should have a keen interest in AI/ML, Cryptography, Data Science, API or Micro-service Engineering.
Commitment to Fair Play: Participants must adhere to ethical practices and fair play in all solutions developed during the hackathon.
Internship, Pre-Placement Offer (PPO) & No Objection Certificate (NOC) Requirement: The hackathon may lead to an internship opportunity lasting 4 to 6 months. Selected students will be required to submit a NOC from their respective college or institute, confirming institutional consent to participate in the internship. Students shortlisted from the hackathon will be considered for PPO discussions during subsequent HSBC Connect sessions.
